As the RADICAL project reaches its conclusion, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had since its launch in November 2020. Over the past four years, RADICAL, funded under the Horizon 2020 EIC Pathfinder program, has focused on advancing air quality monitoring through cutting-edge innovation.
The project’s primary goal has been to develop a low-cost, electronic sensor capable of detecting atmospheric radicals and trace gases, such as ozone, ammonia, and nitrogen dioxide. By combining groundbreaking research with real-world testing, RADICAL has delivered a sensor that’s poised to step up air quality monitoring – making it more accessible, affordable, and effective.
Our latest and final video offers a glimpse into what it takes to bring an EU-funded project to life. From collaborative efforts to scientific innovation, RADICAL has paved the way for smarter environmental solutions while leaving a legacy in atmospheric research.
Here’s a snapshot of what we achieved together:
- 42 conference presentations
- 6 industry events
- 11 publications
- 2 invention disclosures
- 54 website articles
- 4 press releases
- 17 videos
